- WORN ABOVE THE NAMETAG:

- Honor Pin - This award is given to recognize outstanding service to two or more geographic areas or program delivery audiences.
- Thanks Badge - This award is given to recognize exceptional service that benefits the total council or the entire Girl Scout movement. (Worn with or without the blue ribbon.)
- Thanks Badge II - The Thanks Badge II-for Continuing Service-is similar to the Thanks Badge but recognizes continued outstanding service given by a Thanks Badge recipient that benefits the total council or the entire Girl Scout movement.
Nomination Procedure
In Greater Long Beach, the nomination forms are available on the council website. The forms consist of a nomination form (the basic information about the nominee) for services to the council or to a troop, and endorsement forms. A number of endorsement forms must be filled out for each award by those supporting the nomination. (The number varies with the award.) The question which must be answered on the endorsement form is "Why do you believe that this person deserves this Award?"
This is not as difficult a process as many people make it out to be! You must know someone who deserves to be recognized (even yourself!) -- why not fill out a form this year?
